OUR SERVICES.We are committed to providing the following services:

Career Exploration: Facilitating self-assessment and career exploration of our students in order to enable students to develop a clear career objective.Offering high quality trainings, career counselling and coaching in order to meet our students’ individual needs.Our Unit can help guide students to discover specific job positions that match their interests and abilities. Often, students may not realize the range of careers available based on their degree program and experience. We are here to provide direction and details about a variety of jobs available for every discipline.

Interview practice and tips:Our Career Services Centre gives practical help to students ready to enter the job market. This includes assistance with developing interviewing skills. Our staff are ready to offer assistance through seminars and/or a one-on-one sessions.

Resume reviews:We help students prepare and review a resume as they begin a job search. Whether you need to set up a resume to find a summer job or are ready to graduate and enter the workforce in your chosen industry, career services unit can help you build a marketable resume that will resonate with employers.

Internship connections:The Centre is also committed to helping those students that partner with us in searching for internship opportunities. Whether you fill a position on a college campus or within a business, we can help connect you with organizations offering these positions.

Networking opportunities:Our services will offer students networking opportunities with industry leaders that can be difficult for students to make on their own. Professional networking allows students to connect with mentors who can offer guidance about a chosen career field. A professional relationship with someone already employed by a business in your industry may help your chances of getting hired within the same company.

Skill Development:The Centre is also out to provide trainings, seminar, workshops etc. for students that are interested in developing special skills that will gear them towards entrepreneurship; either within or outside their area of study. We hope to partner with Entrepreneurship and Skill Acquisition Units in order to give maximum attention to skill acquisition and development.

Guidance and Counseling: In general, Guidance and Counselling is also part of what we can offer to our staff and students.Look out for our sensitization programs, workshops, seminars and trainings. The Guidance, Counseling and Career Services Centre is at the Multipurpose Building, behind main Auditorium Extension site.
